I have been up since five this morning and just can't get back to sleep. Granted, I had already slept for eight hours by that point and I don't think my body would know what to do with more sleep than that.
We are having our church Harvest Party on Friday evening, and it is aimed at the six to twelve year olds as a Sunday School outreach. Andy and I are in charge of the puppet portion of the evening (which is the end of the evening) and so I am still working furiously trying to get it done. I am also going to make at least one puppet today, but would love to be able to make two or three of them.
Last week was an 'interesting' week for Andy at work. Wednesday there was 3 guys on the crew, one got hurt (broke a finger) so for Thursday they were down to 2 guys on the crew. On Thursday our Pastor took a pipe to the face (accident with a jack - his fault) and broke his cheekbone, so then they were down to just Andy on the crew. I was a little worried that he would get hurt on Friday but he made it through unharmed. But they did have to bring a couple guys down to help from the Nanaimo branch. :)
The kids got their costumes on Saturday for the Harvest Party. Patrick was really wanting to be Indiana Jones but the store that we found costumes in didn't have it. He chose Iron Man instead. He has no idea who Iron Man is, but the costume comes with built in muscles and that was pretty exciting for him, now he looks like a big tough guy! Mia wanted to be a blue princess, but was more than ecstatic when we happened to find a light-up Fairy Queen costume (in blue!) She is so happy because she knows that the Queen is more important than a Princess, too funny.
