So this is going to be a quick run through of the happenings of the last week or so and the things I am wanting to happen in the near future.
My 7 month old Dell computer has gone to the doctor. It is very sick. The rumor is that the motherboard is toasted! I am sad, but hopeful that it will be returned to me in wonderful working order. Hopefully it will not have damaged the hard drive and all my documents and iTunes will still be on the computer. Especially the iTunes, as I have spent a fair amount of money on songs and movies after deciding not to pirate music anymore.
Andy and I attended the marriage retreat in Port Alberni this past weekend. I missed Erika terribly cause I had no one to giggle and get kicked out of the sessions with. I had to act mature, and only snicker occassionally. It was an awesome time though, and we were taught something that is really helpful. This is helpful not only in our marriage, but in understanding the difference between boys and girls and their emotional needs. Girls need love, boys need respect. You may be saying, "DUH!", but I hadn't thought of it like that. I had always thought that it was so important to show my husband love, never realizing what he craves is my respect. We were taught many amazing things, too many to put into words right now.
We are rapidly approaching our Sunday School Puppet Program. It is on Sunday, March 1 at 10am. I am excited and fearful all at the same time. It is our first 45 minute program and will be a great time.
Friday night I am finally hosting my first Pampered Chef party. I have attended a few, but this is the first one I will host! Very excited, especially for my hostess special which is 60% off any one item. I am planning on buying the knife set (at the discount it is still around $200) that is german forged steel (or something like that). I am also going to purchase some cake decorating accessories.
I have become interested in a new hobby, cake decorating. I love the idea of make a cake look like a piece of art. I have quite likely watched too many episodes of Ace of Cakes, and Food Network Extreme Cake Challenges, but I am hopeful that I will make beautiful cakes. I have even been watching cake decorating videos on youtube. I am just a little addicted. And I have found a great recipe for homemade marshmallow fondant, and I am really hoping it turns out.
Anyway, it is past my bedtime so I am babbling. Now it is time to get off the computer, find my comfiest flannel jammies, and go off to dream land.

Cake decorating is soooo cool. My aunty Edna used to have lots of books about it and I loved looking at them! Be sure to post pictures!
